Fernando L. Barbella is Creative Director at the Buenos Aires office of OgilvyInteractive worldwide. He is the Knowledge Manager at Truffles too, where he founded the Ogilvy Latina Community.

Fernando is one of the team leaders, for projects as commercial and corporate sites, special events sitelets, ad banners campaigns, interstitials, beyond-the-banner actions and other interactive media. At OgilvyInteractive, he has been developing projects with accounts such as American Express, IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Motorola, Kodak, Panasonic, Fiat Plan, Banco RIO (Banco Santander), Telefonica, Patagon, Terra, Fanta, Kimberly-Clark, Air France, Alto Palermo and Secretaria de Turismo de Mexico.

Fernando began his new media communications career in 1996 at Alvisoft SA at its internet division, as Account Executive handling accounts like El Publicitario Magazine, Sherwin Williams Argentina and Banco Rio Negro. From 1997 to 1998, he performed as Creative (brochures, press releases, ads) and Web Content Writer at YBK, a small and creative communication agency. Key clients were Banco Rio Negro, Sherwin Williams, Interaccion ART, El Publicitario, OSPERYH and Alvisoft Sistemas, among others. In 1999, Fernando joined tsubcero digital media as Junior Art Director for accounts such as Telefonica, Shell Argentina, SIGGRAPH, Travelpass and Alto Palermo.

He runed his own interactive web project, called “Interhelp” (www.interhelp.org) in his spare time from 1997 to 2001. This site tries to help spanish spoken “newbie” people to discover and use the Web. Interhelp had been recommended by many newspapers (such as La Nacion - Arg, La Vanguardia - Spain and La Tercera - Chile), and internet portals (Yahoo! Mexico, Yahoo! Argentina and Lycos Spain). In 1999, this project was one of the official entries of the UNESCO Web Prize Awards.
